The Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce and Grande Produce is offering Mission CISD and Sharyland ISD students $1000 E-STEAM Scholarships.
Forward thinking Mission is taking the initiative to further develop and promote the E-STEAM education related programs to provide an effective education-to-workforce pipeline to address the region’s growing need for advanced manufacturing workers and entrepreneurs, skilled in science, technology, engineering, art/design, and mathematics.
The city and its supporting organizations such as the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce and Mission EDC recognizes the means to generate value in the 21st Century is through the innovative combination of science and technology with the passion of art, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
Mission’s dynamic initiatives are set to create an E-STEAM ecosystem leading to a more sustainable and robust economy as well as a 21st Century ready workforce in the City of Mission and its surrounding areas.
The Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce is partnering up with Grande Produce, Mission CISD, and Sharyland ISD to help prepare its students in the E-STEAM disciplines. Five (5) scholarships of $1000 will be awarded in support of Mission CISD and Sharyland ISD students who are furthering their education by participating in any of the E-STEAM programs (Entrepreneurship, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) that will assist students in achieving their educational goals in these fields.
The future is now. And it starts in the City of Mission.
