Spilling The Beans: Best Coffee In Mission

It’s no secret that coffee is one of the most popular beverages in the world, and sometimes, you just need a good ol’ cup of joe to help you take on the day.  The Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce has the perfect members for all you coffee lovers out there to stop by and check out.  With our wide number of community businesses, offering a huge variety of coffees in different styles and flavors, we guarantee there’s no limit to the experiences you can indulge your taste buds in.

Jitterz Coffee Bar

If you’re cruising around in the City of Mission and looking for a place that’s quiet, relaxing, and offers a comfortable environment unlike any other establishment, then Jitterz Coffee Bar is the place for you.  From the rich aroma pouring out of its doors, to the flavorful coffee it offers, Jitterz Coffee Bar just might have some of the best brew in the Rio Grande Valley.

Jitterz, as it’s locally known, is located at 1625 N Conway Ave., Mission, TX, 78572. Owners, and Mission natives Gabriel and Mayra De la Garza, brought down this unique coffee experience to South Texas over 13 years ago.  Since then, Jitterz has focused on one simple task – creating quality craft coffee.  In fact, they roast their own java bean in-house, which allows them to provide customers with fresh joe just bursting with flavor.  Because the Jitterz priority is on quality, their baristas ensure every cup comes out delicious.

One of the bestsellers at Jitterz is their Oreo Latte. This sweetly satisfying drink is concocted from creamy ice cream, Oreos, and espresso.  However, Gabriel’s passion lies in creating more traditional drinks, such as a cortados, which is a 4 ounce glass with 2 ounces of espresso and steamed milk on top.

If having your coffee without a small side just doesn’t feel right, Jitterz also offers pastries.

To add the “cherry on top” of their delectable offerings, Jitterz also offers latte art.  You’ve probably seen images online of cutesy images “drawn” into coffee cups – that’s latte art – and it’s especially popular in cities like Chicago and Austin.

Here’s crossing our fingers that it’ll hopefully catch on in the Rio Grande Valley too!

Walking in to Jitterz Coffee Bar, you immediately feel as if you want to cozy up in a chair, grab a good book to read, and joyfully sip on their extraordinary coffee.  Gabriel and Mayra’s motto is, “If you love a customer and appreciate who they are they are going to appreciate what they are doing for them.”

You can definitely feel (and taste) the love while hanging out at Jitterz Coffee Bar. High quality coffee and good vibes in a place you don’t want to miss. They also have live music, which makes for a fun Friday night.

Their hours of operation are:

Monday through Friday 7:00 A.M. – 10:30 P.M., Saturday 8 A.M. – 10:30 P.M., and Sunday 8 A.M. – 7 P.M..
