Forget The Great Gatsby: It’s The Roaring Twenties in Mission

The Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce invites you to come join in our festivities as we party like it’s 1929!We’re talking flappers, cloche hats, knickers, and newsboy caps. Make sure you have your foxtrot down as we celebrate the Chamber’s Annual Banquet this October.

The Chamber, in partnership with the Progress Times, is going to recognize the hard working citizens of Mission and introduce the newest Board of Directors members to the community—and this year is set to be another doozy.

With a Roaring 20’s theme, cocktail hour entertainment provided by Starlight Quartet, and a surprise performance happening during the banquet, the evening promises to roaring good time.

The Annual Banquet will be taking place on Thursday, October 13th, at Mario’s Banquet and Conference Center located at 1716 E. Griffin Parkway in Mission. The fiesta starts at 6pm and will end at 9pm and is going to be the bee’s knees. There’s even going to be a special guest emcee—none other than KGBT’s News Anchor, Marcy Martinez!

On top of the 2016–2017 Board of Directors introduction, the Chamber will also be presenting various awards, including Business of the Year and Partner of the Year.

Because of the importance of the Mission community members and their successes, “[the] Annual Banquet is a time for us to showcase the past year’s accomplishments and highlight the upcoming initiatives, programs, and goals,” said Josh Stockel, President & CEO of the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce.

Without the unity of Mission citizens, and their efforts in creating an economically vibrant town, the Greater Mission business community would not be as successful as it is today. That’s why the Chamber’s dedicated and valuable partner, The Progress Times, is also awarding numerous awards to outstanding individuals, including Mr. Mission, First Lady of Mission, Man of the Year, and Woman of the Year.

Full tables and sponsorship opportunities are still available, with individual tickets for $100 per person. This swanky soiree is definitely going to be the cat’s meow and you don’t want to miss it!
